And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8:27
Smartphones are always listening. If you are talking to someone in the room about a product and you later open the browser on your phone an add for that very thing pops up. It is disturbing to realize that your own phone has been eavesdropping on you.
While having your device spy on you is not a very positive thing it does illustrate something that is very positive for the believer, the fact that at all times we have an open connection to God and He is listening.
Our Lord's technology is even greater. He knows the heart and mind.
He searches our minds like a virus scanner checking every file and then opens the folders of the heart and see's all that is revealed there - even the encrypted files.
For the carnal believer this is upsetting because the carnal believer is hiding from God as Adam did in the Garden. Yet for the spiritual believer it is the place of safety and refuge. It is the secret place, the place of blessings, peace and security.
Our words can never fully express the emotions of the heart. Our minds are often cluttered and clumsy. The indwelling Holy Spirit however can sort it all out and when the believer is "in the Spirit", walking in the Spirit rather than the carnality of the flesh, every moment of our being is an open connection with our Lord.
I believe that most Christians do not comprehend this gift from God and are missing out on the great blessings of the Christian life. Your entire walk and life becomes a prayer in the Spirit if you let it. This is how the Christian is able to "Pray always". It is a matter of realizing and desiring the presence of God allowing his "virus scanner" to search our hearts and see if there is any wicked way and then we are mindful of God so that no matter what we are doing or where we are the lines of communication are going both ways and our every moment becomes a sweet prayer of communion offered up to heaven from our souls.
