The true Gospel will never be acceptable to the world and especially the likes of Rolling Stone magazine.

Pop Christianity is nothing more than dressing a pig in clerical robes.

The Scriptures of course have warned us about such teachers in the Last Days who would have a “form of godliness” but deny the power thereof.

If you click on the picture you will hear this false prophet yourself. Unfortunately he is not alone in his departure from the truth but what he espouses is rapidly creeping into the fabric of acceptance in American Christianity.

Churches have been “denying the power” for many years but now we are seeing a redefining of the Gospel in a way that apologetically denies the necessity of faith in Christ Jesus as the one and only means of salvation from sin.

Now Jesus is one road of many and it is not sin that we are save from but salvation is simply the striving for personal “wholeness” (Buddhism) and the teachings of Jesus are one method of coming to that wholeness.

Again, A form of godliness but denying the power. Perhaps this young heretic should read his Bible for it clearly states:

Neither is there salvation in any other:

for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12 [KJV]

I will tell you plainly. You must repent of your sin. If you do not know what sin is here is a New Testament description so that you know what it is and what you are called to turn from if you desire to follow the True and living Christ.

Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these;

• Adultery (sexual relations outside marriage)

• fornication (sexual activity among “singles”)

• uncleanness, (sexual perversions, lgbt..etc)

• lasciviousness, ( indulgence of animal desires; wantonness; lustfulness.)

• Idolatry, (false worship or veneration)

• witchcraft, (spells, enchantments, magic)

• hatred, (a great dislike or aversion of another)

• variance, (spirit of dissension and discord)

• emulations, (contention; strife;)

• wrath, (Violent anger)

• strife, (quarrels)

• seditions,(to undermine others)

• heresies, (false doctrines)

• envyings,

• murders, (actual or in the heart; abortion)

• drunkenness, (inebriation, getting high)

• revellings, (wild party, bar hopping, carousing)

and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

(Galatians 5:19-21 [KJV]

It is important to realize that repentance entails the willingness to give up sinful activity and resist sinful desires…

The “works of repentance” means to give back what is stolen, to do good to those who hate you, to purge your life of those things that lead you into sin (pornography for example, recreational drug use, other unholy wasteful things) . If you are “shacking up” get married. Be responsible for family and responsibilities paying what is due… in other words correcting and making up for the wickedness of your life as best as possible.

If you have now “counted the cost” and decided that you do not wish to change and desire to continue in your sinful ways then you have not repented.

A man who cheats on his wife and tells her he is sorry and repents of what he has done but continues on in his affair has not repented at all but simply added lying and decietfulness to his crimes.

So it is with the person who does not accept that repentance of sin is a necessary step in conversion to Christ. They are saying that they believe but if they believe they will obey.

The cry of the repentant heart is, “Have mercy on me, O God.” It is the true heartfelt realization of one’s depravity before the Holy Lord and of ones wickedness and need for mercy and forgiveness.

Sin is to spit on the holiness of God. If you are spitting on holiness and say “God forgive me but just keep on spitting how is that conversion? How is that repentance? How is that faith or belief”

And Belief in the Christ revealed in the Scripture is essential to salvation.

To believe he was without sin

To believe he was born of a virgin

To believe he worked the miracles

To believe that he was crucified as the sacrificial Lamb to take the punishment for your sin onto himself.

To believe that he rose from the grave and ascended to heaven

And to believe he is God and that all things that exist do so by His creative power.

And furthermore – to believe His word… that NO man cometh to the FATHER but by HIM. That He IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE.

And if you repent and believe then seal the deal and take the first step of obedience. The Bible instructs you to find a saved preacher of the Gospel and make a public testimony by being immersed in water, to be Baptized. This is a command from God and if you resist the ordinance of God how can you claim to believe? How can you claim to repent?

If you win a million dollars from publishers clearing house and sign the check to get it cashed have you somehow worked for or earned that million dollars by virtue of doing what must be done to collect it? To sign your name?

Baptism is the act of putting God’s seal on your commitment and conversion. It is the royal seal on this covenant and should not be neglected or despised.
